Ride on Bodywork
Hi, I'm Lisa Snyder. I've had a passion for horses and dogs my entire life. Not a day has gone by that these beautiful animals have not blessed my life in some way. I was led down the path of energetic bodywork when my own horse started to age and have physical problems. Along with veterinary care, I discovered that bodywork supported my horse not only on a physical level but on an emotional and spiritual level as well. I then realized that this work not only helped my horse, but it also proved to be very beneficial in supporting my dog's health. I have since incorporated my bodywork into working on dogs as well as horses. My goal and passion are to try and help these amazing animals to feel and perform at their very best. I am so grateful for the love and friendship they have given me throughout the years!! I now feel it's my time to give back to them.
I fully and wholeheartedly believe in Veterinarian care and I will work closely with Veterinarians and Farriers. I think we can be a team in offering complete care for your horse and dog. I offer an enhancement to compliment Veterinarian services. My work does not replace the care of a Veterinarian and I always suggest you consult your Veterinarian before using any alternative therapy or bodywork.
I am a Certified Masterson Method® Practitioner. The Masterson Method-Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork is a unique, interactive method of equine bodywork in which you learn to recognize and use the responses of the horse to your touch to find and release accumulated tension in key junctions of the body that most affect performance. In contrast to most traditional modalities, it enables the horse to actively participate in the process of releasing tension. It is something you do with the horse, rather than to the horse. "This participation and interaction are what makes the method fascinating for those who use it. In fact, if you do not allow the horse to participate, it does not work!" ® To learn more about The Masterson Method please click here: Brochure Video
Tucker Biokinetic Technique is a unique modality in that it uses energy to gain structural soundness. It utilizes bio-mechanical, and neuromuscular master points and engages these points for healing. It helps you to discover the correct motility of skeletal soundness. You can listen to what's happening to the body while discovering the true underlying issues to help stop chronic pain, and stiffness in your horse. Putting all of this together you can help to align the body so it can begin to heal itself.
Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word, Rei, which means "Universal Life" and, Ki, which means energy. Thus, Reiki is usually translated as "Universal life energy" I am a certified Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master. Reiki is a holistic healing system, meaning that it treats the whole being. It addresses problems and healing at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. What is unique about Reiki is that in offering healing to others, horses or dogs, you are also healing yourself. The precepts of Reiki are:
Just for today, do not anger, do not worry, be humble.
Be honest in your dealings with people.
Be compassionate towards yourself and others.
I try my best to honor these teachings when I work with my clients. I believe these truths apply whether working with animals or people. We are at our essence spiritual beings.
Above all else, my goal is to help your horse and dog to feel and be at their very best!!
